Festival Wishlist #1

Sooooo... I'm going to my first ever Glastonbury in just under two months and I can't bloody wait to go on a big shopping spree to get all my clothes! Ive been browsing shops and online for a while to get some festival outfit ideas and have found so many different things I want. I decided while i was waiting for payday to hurry up, i would put together a little wishlist of my ideal festival outfit!

To start off with I love love love this Kimono from Topshop, I have seen so many of these around, some really pretty and some not for me! I definitely think this is a must have for any festival outfit, it looks great teamed up with a cami top and shorts, or even over the top of a dress or playsuit. Secondly, how perfect is that bag please? It's just the right size for a festival and it looks the part, along side the Kimono I will definitely be purchasing this.  And finally, I've been deciding what shoes to take with me (I already have my wellies), as I live in England and the weather is so predictble I needed a pair that I can wear in sunshine or rain, thats when I found these! I tried them on and they were so comfortabe which is another bonus!

I wish June would hurry up now!!

What are your festival essentials?

I'm Back in Business!!

Hey! How's everyone been the last month? Sorry for the lack of posts, I've been super busy and then someone hacked into my google account so I couldn't access blogger :( But it's all sorted now thank god! I may as well give you a little update as to what I have been up to in the last few weeks! Firstly I went to the most amazing wedding, it was perfect. As predicted I was still running around the house half and hour before we were due to leave the house looking for something to wear. Eventually I ended up wearing a lovely dress I bought from a charity shop for £3.50! It's a size 8 and didn't fit when I first snapped it up, I literally only got it in the hope that one day it would fit me because I really liked it! So as you can imagine I was over the moon when it fit. I teamed it up with a tan vintage bag and a long wool fitted coat from Next!

I was so honoured i could spend the day watching two of the nicest people i have ever met tie the knot.  The bride looked absolutely stunning! Me and Jack consumed quite a lot of wine on this day (Jack a little more than me).

I am also pleased we had a few days of nice weather, which is very unusual for us up here in the North-East! I did take advantage of this and went to the beach for the first time in a year, yey!

Thats all for now folks!

March Wishlist #2

1. Skinny Jeans - Motel
2. Shirt- SheInside
3. Satchel- Clarks
4. Desert Boots- Clarks
5- Cardigan - Topshop
6. Scarf- Topshop

Hello again! There is nothing better than going out in a big slouchy cardigan and a comfortable pair of shoes! I'm a little bit in love with everything on my wish list today! I wish pay day would hurry up! Lets start with that lovely scarf, I first laid eyes on this in Topshop and instantly wanted it, £18 does seem a little expensive for a lightweight scarf but I'm sure i could live with myself if i splashed out! Secondly, the bag, how gorgeous is that bag?! Its a proper old school satchel that you can wear on your back, I've wanted one of these for ages but could only find ones that were hundreds of pounds, this one here is only £80 from Clarks! I love a good chunky cardigan or jumper, they are a must have when you are having a lazy clothes day.

What are you're favourite slouchy day items?

Offbeat Youth.

Morning everyone!! I'm gonna post about something a little different today.  About 2 years ago when i finished Uni i found myself doing nothing, I moved back home from London and was finding it so hard to find a job up here so i decided i needed to do something myself, this is when i started Peace Love& Tees, with my lovely business partner Jack, it was our own T-Shirt business. At the time when we started it everyone seemed to be starting one and doing the same thing, their logo stuck on the chest and selling them for stupid prices, so we wanted to do something different to stand out.

A few of our Designs from Peace, Love& Tees

The lovely blogger Beth Hammond done a lovely blog post on our tee's that you can check out here and here

Jack isn't much of an arty person but he is very creative, and has a wonderful mind, so we worked together, if he had a design in his head i would then try and get it on paper. Once we had a final design i would then hand draw it onto the T-Shirt.  I done this for quite a while and they become very popular but i was struggling to keep up, it sometimes took 3 hours a time to do one design, so when i eventually got a job it was physically impossible so decided i needed to think about other ways to do it, so i put it on hold for a while until i figured something out. And then... everything got turned upside down, we were told there was another clothing label with almost the same name, so we had to do a complete re-brand. It took a while to get everything back but we are almost there, it took a while to think of a new name and make sure no one else had it.

Offbeat Youth! Our new name! We have lots of new designs coming soon and i'm so excited for everyone to see them. This time we are screen printing most of out designs so we can use more colours and make them more exciting. I'll be doing a few blog posts now and again and keeping everyone upto date. For more regular updates you can check us out here:

We will also be looking for bloggers to review some of our designs when they are launched. Let me know if you are interested, there is a free T-Shirt in it for you!

Nice Day For A Wedding.

Soooooo in the next 4 weeks I've been lucky and privileged enough to be invited to two weddings! Lucky me! I absolutely love a good wedding, spending the day drinking wine, eating good food with friends, and watching two people that were made for each other tie the knot! And i get to treat myself to two new dresses, which is tricky because you never know what the old English weather is going to pull out the hat!

I've decided to start the hunt for some new dresses and it's proving tricky as I'm on a super tight budget! While I was looking I decided I can't be the only one with spring events that require a dress, so I decided to put together a little wishlist of the best and affordable dresses I can find!

1. Motel Dress- £38
2. AX Paris- £30
3. Fashion Union- £28
4. AX Paris- £25

1. Ted Baker- £175
2. D&G- £915
3. Marni- £450
4. Miu Miu- £1790

Which ones are your favourite?

Clinique Stay-Matte Oil-Free Foundation Review.

Hello lovelys! Today I'm going to do my first ever beauty post! I'm
going to review Clinique's "Stay-Matte Oil-Free' Foundation. I've never been a fan out heavy foundation and only wear it when I'm going out somewhere,  I usually just stick to tinted moisturiser.  I have very oily skin so most foundations make my face more greasy which then leads to my pores getting clogged and having a face full of spots. The only foundation i could really get away with was Benefit "Hello Flawless Oxygen WOW" which my mum recommended as she has the same skin as me.  But recently a few people told me i should try Clinique "Stay-Matte Oil-Free" foundation, so i went straight out and bought it.

I was quite surprised when i first put it on as it was incredibly smooth and light, it almost felt like i was putting moisturiser on.  I have started to use this pretty much on a day to day basis now,  I use it over the top of a mattifying moisturiser and POREfessional so it stops my face going greasy after an hour which is quite nice.
Also using this foundation I have learned that a little goes a long way. At £22 its not the most expensive foundation i have bought but it certainly isn't the cheapest, but i definitely think its worth every penny.  It comes in 17 shades so there is no doubt there will be one to match your skin.

All in all im glad i went out and got this foundation, it's been a bit of a lifesaver for me. It's a very smooth and light foundation and if you have problems with foundation because of very oily skin then i couldn't reccommend this one enough!

What foundation do you guys use for your skin type?

Topshop Spring Coat Wishlist.

2. Lined Denim Jacket - £58

Well hello again, its been a while! Sorry for the lack of posts lately! Today I'm posting my Topshop spring coat wish list. I always find it really hard to find a coat that I like and normally search around for ages until I find the right one. I decided to have a quick trip to Newcastle and visit the Topshop there as the one in Sunderland is about the size of my bedroom. When I got there I fell in love with a few coats! The first one was the green lined parka, it looks nice and smart on and is just the right weight for this weather. Then I walked straight into the lined denim jacket, it looked so warm and cosy. The third one I wasn't too sure about until I tried it on and loved it, pastel colours are really popular at the min too! I'm not gonna lie about the 4th one, I first noticed this on The Whitepepper Instagram and really liked it, I think its because it looks quite vintage and i love vintage coats ha  then I just happened to be browsing the Topshop website a few hours ago and there it was, so I put it on my wish list, thats okay right? Now i just have to wait until payday so i can finally go out and buy one.

What coat is your favourite?

March WishList #1

1. Floppy Hat- Topshop
2. Floral Playsuit- Topshop
3. L'Oreal Lipstick- Superdrug
4. Barry M Silk Nails- Superdrug
5. Jumper- Topshop
6. Sunglasses- ASOS
7.Bowler Bag- River Island
8. Dr Martens Shoes- ASOS
9. Necklace- River Island
10. Watch- River Island
11. Headband- Topshop

Morning! Just a quick March wish list post before i go to work! As i mentioned yesterday i love spring, it means i can sell my winter wardrobe on Ebay and buy all of there items! Well.... Hopefully.

Topshop Floppy Hat- I really want to buy a floppy hat this year, I didn't get round to buying one last year as i have a really small head and can never get a hat to fit properly but i recently went into Topshop and tried this one on and it fit perfect, YEY, shame i didn't have the £28 to buy it though!

Topshop Floral Playsuit- I love this playsuit, the colours and the style of it are just perfect for spring! It would look so nice teamed up with a nice pastel jumper over the top.

Topshop Jumper- I love this jumper, I think it would look so pretty on top of the Topshop playsuit. I think in spring I'm a massive fan of the jumper over dress/playsuit as its still a little bit chilly.

ASOS Sunglasses- I think every pair of sunglasses I own are round, but I only have really dark colours for some reason. I think this year i will invest in a lighter pair.

River Island Bowler Bag- Bowler Bags are my favourite style of bag, most of them are just the right size to carry everything you need and isn't too big. I really like the colour of this one from River Island, it's a little bit different. It's deffo near the top of my list to buy.

Dr Martens Shoes- Purple velvet shoes, whats not to like? ASOS have these o sale at the min for £52 which is a massive bargain!

Topshop Headband- Headband are very popular at the minutes, I really like this one as its quite small but looks so pretty!

What are your favourite on my list?

Easy Peasy DIY Pocket Tee

Hi Guys! Sorry for the lack of updates over the weekend, I've been busy busy busy! Anys ways, it's finally Spring!! YEY! I love spring, it means that summer is even closer. To celebrate a thought i would give you a quick tutorial on how to do pocket tees without sewing anything! It's so quick and simple and takes about 15 minutes to do.   I do it all the time when i fancy something different to wear.

Things you will need:
- A T-Shirt
-Small piece of fabric
-Iron on Hemming Web (you can use fabric glue too)
-A piece of cardboard
-Scissors

1. The first thing you need to do is decide on the shape and size of your pocket.  I used a small piece of cardboard and cut it 15cm x 15cm, you can be a bit more experimental if you like, I was a bit stuck for time. Your pocket can be many shaped and sizes, use your imagination.

2. After you have cut out your template place it on to your fabric and draw around it, then cut it out with a extra 1cm hem allowance. If your fabric if dark and you can see your outline, pin it to the fabric and cut around it that way.

3. Fold the edges of the fabric over the template (this helps keep the edges straight) and iron then down to create hems all the way round.

4. Place the hemming web underneath the hems and iron until the glue has melted and sealed the edges of the pocket.

5. If you want to add anything to your pocket now is the time, you can add buttons, ribbon or even contrasting fabric to make it more interesting.

6. Postion your pocket on the your t-shirt, make sure its straight and in the place you want it, using a pencil lightly draw around your pocket. Take your pocket off then apply hemming web inside the lines around the edges (remember to leave the top edge free, or it won't be a pocket tee ha).

7. Place your pocket on top of the hemming web you have just layer down on your tee (make sure there is no web sticking out the edges, if it gets stuck on your iron its a nightmare to get off).  Then iron away until the glue had melted and the pocket is sealed onto the T-shirt.

There you go, all finished! Enjoy your new T-Shirt! There are endless choices of colours and fabric you can do. This is my tutorial  so its probably not the best but if you need to know anything else just leave me a comment and i'll let you know, I think I've pretty much covered everything :)

Whats do you guys think? Will you be giving it a go?

A Sixties Girl At Heart..

Coat- H&M
Dress- Pop
Shoes- Topshop
Bag- Primark

Evening guys! Thought I'd do a quick outfit post before I retire to bed for work in the morning, got to be up at 4am! This is probably one of my favourite outfits, I love anything to do with the sixties and everyone that knows me will know my style is based around that era (i often get called 'beehive' in work).  This coat is probably my favourite coat ever, I loved it that much I bought two! The one I am wearing on this pictures is a size 16. This was the first one I bought, I was so heartbroken when I went in H&M to buy it and this was the only size they had, I'm glad that I did because I think it fits better in the winter because I can wear thick cardigans underneath. I went back a few weeks after and they had my size in so I decided to just get that one too! I wear that one when the weather is warmer!
The dress I got from a vintage shop near my house, they were closing down and were selling everything off cheap (I'm a sucker for a bargain) so I went in and had a little browse and got a few things. I only payed £12 for the dress and its a perfect fit and so comfortable. I also love a big collar, so this is prefect.
And the bag, wait for it... was only £2!! Every time I wear this bag I get stopped and people ask where I got it from. I often think about making up a good story but frankly i went into Primarni on Oxford Street and it was literally the only one in the store, it had a price tag on for £14 but when I got the the tills it went through as £2, I was so over the moon!

What's your favourite era?

Outfit of the Day #3

Top- Primark
Trousers- Topshop
Shoes- Topshop
Coat- Charity Shop
Bag- Ebay

Just a quick outfit  of the day, sorry about the dark photos! I did originally plan to take them outside but it looks like the heavens will open at any minute and didn't want to take the risk, so my unusually dark bedroom will have to do.

Today I'm wearing my fur coat for the fist time this year. I picked it up about 3 years about from a charity shop for £10, it was the middle of summer and the woman who served me thought I was mad, I'm so glad a bought it because it is literally the warmest coat i have ever owned! I'm wearing it with a mono Primark shirt, my Topshop houndstooth trousers/leggings, my Topshop slippers, and my lookalike Mulberry bag that I snapped up off ebay for £2.99!

Im still getting the hang of taking pictures of myself, has anyone got any tips to make my photos a little bit better?

Ebay Wishlist #1

Hi! I thought i would put together a quick little ebay wish list as i have been having a little browse over the last few days and found some lovely little pieces. Hurry up payday!!

Firstly, how amazing is that mustard coat? I originally found this through another blog, fell in love and have been debating whether to buy it since? I have millions of coats and not one of them is mustard (thats the only excuse i can find really). I also love that dress, I'm a sucker for the black dress white peter pan collar combo, and for £5.99 you can't really go wrong. One thing i know i will be buying it that mustard satchel! A years back i bought a similar one from a vintage shop in Paris and it was literally like my right arm, i took it everywhere with me, but unfortunately i left it on a train and it was never to be seen again.

What are your favourites off my list?

I'll never stop loving spotty shirts!

Shirt- Topshop
Pinafore- Primark
Shoes- Topshop
Necklace- Primark

Morning! I decided to do a quick outfit post before i leave the house! I've got loads to do today before i start work, there is about 1000 birthdays in my family in the next week and i haven't been out to buy one card or present yet, so I'm using my few spare hours this morning to go and get them! As you can see today i'm wearing more spots, no matter how many time they go in and out of fashion i'll still love them! I'm wearing it underneath a denim pinafore, which I picked up from Primark the other day for £5! I love my T-Bar shoes, I don't normally buy white shoes but i got these from Topshop in the summer and fell in love, now you can buy them pretty much everywhere for half the price ! It's a pretty simple outfit today as I'm in a hurry so i just shoved something on! Wish me luck!
