A Sixties Girl At Heart..

Coat- H&M
Dress- Pop
Shoes- Topshop
Bag- Primark

Evening guys! Thought I'd do a quick outfit post before I retire to bed for work in the morning, got to be up at 4am! This is probably one of my favourite outfits, I love anything to do with the sixties and everyone that knows me will know my style is based around that era (i often get called 'beehive' in work).  This coat is probably my favourite coat ever, I loved it that much I bought two! The one I am wearing on this pictures is a size 16. This was the first one I bought, I was so heartbroken when I went in H&M to buy it and this was the only size they had, I'm glad that I did because I think it fits better in the winter because I can wear thick cardigans underneath. I went back a few weeks after and they had my size in so I decided to just get that one too! I wear that one when the weather is warmer!
The dress I got from a vintage shop near my house, they were closing down and were selling everything off cheap (I'm a sucker for a bargain) so I went in and had a little browse and got a few things. I only payed £12 for the dress and its a perfect fit and so comfortable. I also love a big collar, so this is prefect.
And the bag, wait for it... was only £2!! Every time I wear this bag I get stopped and people ask where I got it from. I often think about making up a good story but frankly i went into Primarni on Oxford Street and it was literally the only one in the store, it had a price tag on for £14 but when I got the the tills it went through as £2, I was so over the moon!

What's your favourite era?

Outfit of the Day #3

Top- Primark
Trousers- Topshop
Shoes- Topshop
Coat- Charity Shop
Bag- Ebay

Just a quick outfit  of the day, sorry about the dark photos! I did originally plan to take them outside but it looks like the heavens will open at any minute and didn't want to take the risk, so my unusually dark bedroom will have to do.

Today I'm wearing my fur coat for the fist time this year. I picked it up about 3 years about from a charity shop for £10, it was the middle of summer and the woman who served me thought I was mad, I'm so glad a bought it because it is literally the warmest coat i have ever owned! I'm wearing it with a mono Primark shirt, my Topshop houndstooth trousers/leggings, my Topshop slippers, and my lookalike Mulberry bag that I snapped up off ebay for £2.99!

Im still getting the hang of taking pictures of myself, has anyone got any tips to make my photos a little bit better?

Ebay Wishlist #1

Hi! I thought i would put together a quick little ebay wish list as i have been having a little browse over the last few days and found some lovely little pieces. Hurry up payday!!

Firstly, how amazing is that mustard coat? I originally found this through another blog, fell in love and have been debating whether to buy it since? I have millions of coats and not one of them is mustard (thats the only excuse i can find really). I also love that dress, I'm a sucker for the black dress white peter pan collar combo, and for £5.99 you can't really go wrong. One thing i know i will be buying it that mustard satchel! A years back i bought a similar one from a vintage shop in Paris and it was literally like my right arm, i took it everywhere with me, but unfortunately i left it on a train and it was never to be seen again.

What are your favourites off my list?

I'll never stop loving spotty shirts!

Shirt- Topshop
Pinafore- Primark
Shoes- Topshop
Necklace- Primark

Morning! I decided to do a quick outfit post before i leave the house! I've got loads to do today before i start work, there is about 1000 birthdays in my family in the next week and i haven't been out to buy one card or present yet, so I'm using my few spare hours this morning to go and get them! As you can see today i'm wearing more spots, no matter how many time they go in and out of fashion i'll still love them! I'm wearing it underneath a denim pinafore, which I picked up from Primark the other day for £5! I love my T-Bar shoes, I don't normally buy white shoes but i got these from Topshop in the summer and fell in love, now you can buy them pretty much everywhere for half the price ! It's a pretty simple outfit today as I'm in a hurry so i just shoved something on! Wish me luck!

There is nothing better than a comfy jumper!

Jumper- Primark
Shorts- River Islane
Shirt- New Look
Shoes- Schuh

I love chunky knit jumpers but I can never seem to  find one with the right size neck, as stupid as it sounds! Everyone I see has either a really wide and baggy neck or a one that chokes you, so I was quite over the moon when i snapped this one up from Primark for only £7! They had a lovely Burgundy one too but didn't have my size! I decided to try it out today and it was soooo comfy, I wore it on top of one of many of my spotty shirts, with denim shorts and my faithful Gazelles.

Doodles..

Bit of a late post tonight! If you read my last post you will know i was planning on spending my day browsing Primark for some new goodies! I really wanted to purchase the black playsuit, the daisy dress and the shoes,  unfortunately i only managed to find the black playsuit, the rest was sold out. I would be lying if i said i wasn't a little bit sad, i had my heart on coming home with all three! looks like i will be keeping an eye out for them coming back into store. On the other hand i did pick up some bargains which cheered me up a little bit, i got a lovely oversized chunky knit jumper for £7 and a denim pinafore dress for £5. I was also planning on doing my first outfit post today but my lovely camera decided to hate me, in the end i gave up and instead decided a little doodle of what i was wearing would have to do. I know you're all probably thinking 'a mustard jumper over a blue spotty dress?' but i promise it looked better in real life than my little doodle haha. Hopefully my camera is in a better mood tomorrow so i can do an outfit post on my bargains today.

Chow for now x

How Dreamy is the Primark SS14 Collection?

How dreamy are some of the items in the Primark SS14 Collection? If you haven't already, you can check them out here. Here are a few of my favourites, I will definitely be using my time off work tomorrow to browse my local Primark for them. I desperately want the Daisy print dress with the peter pan collar and also the black playsuit with the white collar, I'm a massive fan of sixties style so they are definitely for me. Also at £12 those shoes are a bargain, they have them in  3 colours, black, cream and burgundy! I plan on buying all three for that price!

What do you think of the new Primark collection? Yay or Nay?

Shoes, Shoes and Shoes...

Everyone knows you can't have an outfit thats looks complete without a good pair of shoes! This might surprise every girl on the planet but out of the 1000's of shoes i own i only have one pair of 'heels'! I know right! I know you're all thinking i can't be a real girl if i only own one pair of heels, but the truth is i just can't wear them. I have the most weird bird like feet ever and soon as i even look at a pair of heels my feet cry, no matter how many times people recommend comfortable ones i just can't wear them and have to stick to my good old flats shoes.

Here a just a few of the shoes i can't live without at the minute. As you can see i absolutely love Topshop shoes, it's are the only shop i can just go in and get my size and not have to try them on because i know they will fit like a glove.

Dessert Boots- Topshop
Metal Trim Slipper Shoes- Topshop
Chunky Brown Brogues- Asos
Fringed Geek Shoes- Topshop
Chocolate Vintage Chelsea Boots- Topshop

Until about 3 years ago i don't know how i lived without a pair of dessert boots, they are so comfy and lightweight, the only downfall is you can't wear them in the rain because your feet get soaked. In total i think i own about 20 pairs of brogues, i bought my first pair at 18 from Topshop, I  remember being so excited because i really wanted a pair but couldnt find them anywhere. The slipper shoes are my most recent shoe purchase, i love the little tiger head on the front and they look so classy when i have them on my feet, they are the type of shoe i can wear on a day to day basis or when I'm going on a night out.

I'm starting to get the hang of this blogging business, FINALLY! ha

Here Goes Nothing....

Well hello there world! It turns out I've decided to start a blog. I decided way back in 2010 that i was going to start a blog, but never seemed to have the time, being a fashion student and juggling most of my time between London and Sunderland (home), and the mountains of uni work i had it never happened, but I've been really inspired by a lot of bloggers out there lately and seeing as I've got a bit of spare time on my hands at the moment, it makes perfect sense to start one now!

You'll probably find my blogging about a lot of different things, mostly Fashion, Music, and Art but there will also be a sprinkle of other things in there too. Im a massive fan of the Sixties and i find myself constantly wishing i born in that era.

So here goes nothing, welcome to my blog!
