Festival Wishlist #1

Sooooo... I'm going to my first ever Glastonbury in just under two months and I can't bloody wait to go on a big shopping spree to get all my clothes! Ive been browsing shops and online for a while to get some festival outfit ideas and have found so many different things I want. I decided while i was waiting for payday to hurry up, i would put together a little wishlist of my ideal festival outfit!

To start off with I love love love this Kimono from Topshop, I have seen so many of these around, some really pretty and some not for me! I definitely think this is a must have for any festival outfit, it looks great teamed up with a cami top and shorts, or even over the top of a dress or playsuit. Secondly, how perfect is that bag please? It's just the right size for a festival and it looks the part, along side the Kimono I will definitely be purchasing this.  And finally, I've been deciding what shoes to take with me (I already have my wellies), as I live in England and the weather is so predictble I needed a pair that I can wear in sunshine or rain, thats when I found these! I tried them on and they were so comfortabe which is another bonus!

I wish June would hurry up now!!

What are your festival essentials?

I'm Back in Business!!

Hey! How's everyone been the last month? Sorry for the lack of posts, I've been super busy and then someone hacked into my google account so I couldn't access blogger :( But it's all sorted now thank god! I may as well give you a little update as to what I have been up to in the last few weeks! Firstly I went to the most amazing wedding, it was perfect. As predicted I was still running around the house half and hour before we were due to leave the house looking for something to wear. Eventually I ended up wearing a lovely dress I bought from a charity shop for £3.50! It's a size 8 and didn't fit when I first snapped it up, I literally only got it in the hope that one day it would fit me because I really liked it! So as you can imagine I was over the moon when it fit. I teamed it up with a tan vintage bag and a long wool fitted coat from Next!

I was so honoured i could spend the day watching two of the nicest people i have ever met tie the knot.  The bride looked absolutely stunning! Me and Jack consumed quite a lot of wine on this day (Jack a little more than me).

I am also pleased we had a few days of nice weather, which is very unusual for us up here in the North-East! I did take advantage of this and went to the beach for the first time in a year, yey!

Thats all for now folks!

March Wishlist #2

1. Skinny Jeans - Motel
2. Shirt- SheInside
3. Satchel- Clarks
4. Desert Boots- Clarks
5- Cardigan - Topshop
6. Scarf- Topshop

Hello again! There is nothing better than going out in a big slouchy cardigan and a comfortable pair of shoes! I'm a little bit in love with everything on my wish list today! I wish pay day would hurry up! Lets start with that lovely scarf, I first laid eyes on this in Topshop and instantly wanted it, £18 does seem a little expensive for a lightweight scarf but I'm sure i could live with myself if i splashed out! Secondly, the bag, how gorgeous is that bag?! Its a proper old school satchel that you can wear on your back, I've wanted one of these for ages but could only find ones that were hundreds of pounds, this one here is only £80 from Clarks! I love a good chunky cardigan or jumper, they are a must have when you are having a lazy clothes day.

What are you're favourite slouchy day items?

Offbeat Youth.

Morning everyone!! I'm gonna post about something a little different today.  About 2 years ago when i finished Uni i found myself doing nothing, I moved back home from London and was finding it so hard to find a job up here so i decided i needed to do something myself, this is when i started Peace Love& Tees, with my lovely business partner Jack, it was our own T-Shirt business. At the time when we started it everyone seemed to be starting one and doing the same thing, their logo stuck on the chest and selling them for stupid prices, so we wanted to do something different to stand out.

A few of our Designs from Peace, Love& Tees

The lovely blogger Beth Hammond done a lovely blog post on our tee's that you can check out here and here

Jack isn't much of an arty person but he is very creative, and has a wonderful mind, so we worked together, if he had a design in his head i would then try and get it on paper. Once we had a final design i would then hand draw it onto the T-Shirt.  I done this for quite a while and they become very popular but i was struggling to keep up, it sometimes took 3 hours a time to do one design, so when i eventually got a job it was physically impossible so decided i needed to think about other ways to do it, so i put it on hold for a while until i figured something out. And then... everything got turned upside down, we were told there was another clothing label with almost the same name, so we had to do a complete re-brand. It took a while to get everything back but we are almost there, it took a while to think of a new name and make sure no one else had it.

Offbeat Youth! Our new name! We have lots of new designs coming soon and i'm so excited for everyone to see them. This time we are screen printing most of out designs so we can use more colours and make them more exciting. I'll be doing a few blog posts now and again and keeping everyone upto date. For more regular updates you can check us out here:

We will also be looking for bloggers to review some of our designs when they are launched. Let me know if you are interested, there is a free T-Shirt in it for you!

Nice Day For A Wedding.

Soooooo in the next 4 weeks I've been lucky and privileged enough to be invited to two weddings! Lucky me! I absolutely love a good wedding, spending the day drinking wine, eating good food with friends, and watching two people that were made for each other tie the knot! And i get to treat myself to two new dresses, which is tricky because you never know what the old English weather is going to pull out the hat!

I've decided to start the hunt for some new dresses and it's proving tricky as I'm on a super tight budget! While I was looking I decided I can't be the only one with spring events that require a dress, so I decided to put together a little wishlist of the best and affordable dresses I can find!

1. Motel Dress- £38
2. AX Paris- £30
3. Fashion Union- £28
4. AX Paris- £25

1. Ted Baker- £175
2. D&G- £915
3. Marni- £450
4. Miu Miu- £1790

Which ones are your favourite?

Glasses- H&M
Shirt- Topshop
Shorts- River Island
Belt- Vintage Shop
Desert Boots- Topshop
Coat- Charity Shop

Well hello again! As you all know I've been on the search for a new spring coat! So yesterday I decided that I would go on a little charity shop spree, I'm really good at finding some hidden treasures in charity shops, I can spend hours in them, which is what I done yesterday ha I left the house at about 11am to start my spree, but at 3.30pm I still hadn't found anything worth buying, I was giving up so I decided one more shop then I would take my disappointed face home, then as i walked into the last shop I seen the perfect coat, it is was exactly what I wanted for spring and it had a price tag on of £7!! How good is that ha I'm so pleased that I don't have to go out and spend £80 on a coat now, yey!

I was so excited I decided to do a little outfit post!

Clinique Stay-Matte Oil-Free Foundation Review.

Hello lovelys! Today I'm going to do my first ever beauty post! I'm
going to review Clinique's "Stay-Matte Oil-Free' Foundation. I've never been a fan out heavy foundation and only wear it when I'm going out somewhere,  I usually just stick to tinted moisturiser.  I have very oily skin so most foundations make my face more greasy which then leads to my pores getting clogged and having a face full of spots. The only foundation i could really get away with was Benefit "Hello Flawless Oxygen WOW" which my mum recommended as she has the same skin as me.  But recently a few people told me i should try Clinique "Stay-Matte Oil-Free" foundation, so i went straight out and bought it.

I was quite surprised when i first put it on as it was incredibly smooth and light, it almost felt like i was putting moisturiser on.  I have started to use this pretty much on a day to day basis now,  I use it over the top of a mattifying moisturiser and POREfessional so it stops my face going greasy after an hour which is quite nice.
Also using this foundation I have learned that a little goes a long way. At £22 its not the most expensive foundation i have bought but it certainly isn't the cheapest, but i definitely think its worth every penny.  It comes in 17 shades so there is no doubt there will be one to match your skin.

All in all im glad i went out and got this foundation, it's been a bit of a lifesaver for me. It's a very smooth and light foundation and if you have problems with foundation because of very oily skin then i couldn't reccommend this one enough!

What foundation do you guys use for your skin type?
